Venue

The conference will take place in the Agora of the University of Jyväskylä. Agora is situated in Mattilanniemi science campus (street address: Mattilanniemi 2). The center has a spirit of its own by the lake side.

The University of Jyväskylä is a nationally and internationally significant research university and an expert on education that focuses on human and natural sciences. Jyväskylä possesses a highly popular multidisciplinary university with a total of seven faculties and about 16 000 students. The core fields in research and education are natural sciences, sport and health sciences, and teacher education.

The conference is held on the Mattilanniemi campus by the lake Jyväsjärvi, ca. 1.5km from the Jyväskylä city centre. The beautiful white Agora building is located by the lake, just less than 10 minute walk from the city center. The main conference hotel, Hotel Alba, is 50 meters away from the Agora. Agora is a modern building with three auditoriums, several lecture rooms and a restaurant, whish all make it an excellent venue to hold a conference. All lecture halls are equipped with on-site computer (PC), dataprojector and audio and microphone systems. Portable laptops can be connected to the centralized system.

The Department of Physics and Accelerator Laboratory are within a five minute walk over a walking bridge on the other side lake.

Jyväskylä is the capital of Central Finland, and is located in the middle of area full of lakes.
